Thank you, my mother, who grew and sustained me inside of your body for nine months Who birthed me into this world, giving all of your energy, strength and more to do so. Thank you my mother, who nursed and fed me so that I could grow to be healthy and strong. Thank you for all of those restless nights, so that I could be comforted and nurtured by you, so that I could grow to know what love and devotion is. Thank you my mother for being with me while I had that tantrum in the middle of the supermarket, and many more, for teaching me patience and security. And thank you for ‘letting it all go’, for being imperfect, so that I could see the beauty and perfection in imperfection and learn to love and accept myself as I am. Thank you my mother for your endless sacrifice and selflessness For believing in me, when I struggle to believe in myself. Thank you, my mother for not giving up on me, no matter what I may be putting you through right now. I chose you as my mother and we, eternally bonded, will continue to learn and grow, individually and together. Thank you my mother, for this argument, for this lesson I need in order to grow into the incredible adult I know I am destined to be. Thank you for all that you do and all that you are. Thank you, my mother.
